David B. Vasily, M.D., FAAD
Our senior dermatologist and founder of the practice, David B. Vasily, M.D., FAAD, is a Bethlehem native and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, magna cum laude with honors from Moravian College and obtained his medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine. Following a year of internal medicine residency at Allentown Hospital, he completed a dermatology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Dr. Vasily is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a well-known clinical dermatologist, who has also served as founder of a second practice, Aesthetica Cosmetic & Laser Surgery Center in Bethlehem, PA (www.ilovemyskin.com).
Dr. Vasily's special interests in dermatology include the treatment of psoriasis for which he has gained national recognition. His clinical research in the field of psoriasis has included research in areas of phototherapy, including the clinical development of the excimer laser for psoriasis and clinical testing of a number of biologic agents used for psoriasis. His areas of interest also include contact dermatitis and dermatologic manifestations of internal disease and skin infections in athletes, including wrestlers. He is also the author of the NCAA guidelines on the disposition of skin infections in wrestlers and has served as the team dermatologist at Lehigh University for 33 years. He has served as reviewing editor for numerous professional publications and text books and has authored numerous scientific papers in dermatology. In addition, he has achieved recognition as a researcher, innovator and speaker in the field of cosmetic dermatology.
Stephen C. Senft, M.D., FAAD
Stephen C. Senft, M.D., FAAD, was born in York, PA and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a degree in chemistry and obtained his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine at Hershey. Following completion in board certification, he completed residency in internal medicine at Hershey and residency in dermatology at Brown University. He is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Senft's special interests in dermatology include internal manifestations of skin disease, pediatric dermatology and, especially, the management of skin cancers. He is a Fellow for the American Society of Mohs Surgery and has personally completed more than 3,000 Mohs surgery procedures. His expertise in Mohs surgery is well recognized and difficult cases are referred to him from practicing physicians and dermatologists in the area. Dr Senft also has a special interest in cosmetic injectable fillers and has participated in clinical research in this area, as well as clinical research on the development of biologics for psoriasis.
Marie E. Helmold, M.D., FAAD
Marie E. Helmold, M.D., FAAD, graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University and then obtained her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. She completed a year of internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina and dermatology residency at Penn State University - Hershey. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Helmold's special interests is medical dermatology, which includes general dermatology, seeing all ages and ethnicities, contact dermatitis, acne, including the use of isotretinoin (Accutane), atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, management of non-Mohs skin cancer and non-Mohs skin cancer surgery and dermatology issues in women. She participates in numerous skin cancer screenings. She also has an interest in sclerotherapy.
Michelle Ramsberger, PA-C
Michelle Ramsberger, PA-C, obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Allentown College, St. Francis DeSales, where she received her Master's degree of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She has many years experience as a dermatology assistant to supplement her training as a dermatology physician assistant.
Her interest areas in dermatology, include general dermatology, psoriasis, contact dermatitis and, especially, skin surgery. She also serves as the clinical coordinator for numerous ongoing research studies, including biologics for psoriasis.
Sarah Hartman, PA-C
Sarah Hartman, PA-C, obtained her undergraduate degree in neurosciences from F&M where she was a Marshall scholar and subsequently, she received her Master’s degreed of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at DeSales University. She has special interest in pigmented lesions and dermatologic surgery.
